Day 1: Edinburgh

A lot of visitors for a rainy day!

View from the Edinburgh Castle
You need to scale these rocks to get to the top for any assault.
Entering the castle may be a perilous task those days.

Day 1: Edinburgh

All pictures are taken at the majestic Edinburgh Castle just an top of the Royal Mile. I even got there on time after reading bout the firing of the guns from Zhi Xin's blog. Unfortunately, I did not see anything. Perhaps, the guns did not fire becoz it was raining heavily at the time. Sigh...what luck!

Day 1: Edinburgh

St. Giles Cathedral
The historic Royal Mile
More cows at St. Giles
The Scottish Parliament
St. Giles Cathedral: Where all the ghost walking tours starts. Too bad I have nothing more to add to that as I did not have the testicular fortitude nor the energy to go for one

The controversial designs of the Parliament. Eyesore or beauty? You decide!
Holyrood Palace

Unfortunately, when I arrived the Parliament was closed and it was raining. YIPEEEEE

Day 1: Edinburgh

A view of Salisbury Crags from afar. It was recomended to go up there ! Would you? I sure did not.
A very tiring walk along Holyrood Park to get back to my B n B.
Holyrood Palace. Unfortunately it was closed the day I visited.
I just can't comprehend the fascination with cows.

A 3some of pictures of Arthur's Seat from the street below

I have to admit I was totally spent by the time I reached the B n B. I left Oxford at 4am and walked from morning (starting from Princess St.) to evening (ending at my B n B while passing through the Royal Mile and the Holyrood Park)
