Concorde Plaza

This is the place where Louis 16th and some 1500 others got guillotined. Apparently it was once so filled with bloodshed that even a cart pulled by oxens refused to go there. The lady symbolises the 8 large cities in France. This one shows Lille. The obelisk is an ancient gift from Egypt which dated back to the time of King Ramses.
